For Staff & Faculty – Influenza Like Illness (ILI) Absenteeism Report
Managers/Administrators/Department Heads/Directors are asked to report daily on each incidence of ILI for faculty and staff in addition to the regular attendance tracking process. This allows UBC Okanagan to have a better handle on how significantly we are being impacted by this illness.
For the latest UBC Okanagan information on the H1N1 flu virus (human swine flu) in BC, see the Update to the UBC Okanagan Community.
What are the symptoms of H1N1 or ILI?
The symptoms of H1N1 flu are similar to the common flu and can include high fever, cough, headache, general aches, fatigue, eye pain, shortness of breath and lack of appetite. Some people have also reported a runny nose, sore throat, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. See http://www.fightflu.ca for up to date information on the symptoms.
